Job Description:

The Marketplace teamĀ is responsible forĀ all elements of strategic partnerships for the dentsu Media practice in the US. Housed withinĀ Amplifi, the Investment, Activation, Partnership and Solutions arm of dentsu, the team serves as the center of excellence for marketplace intelligence across dentsu and its media agencies (Carat,Ā dentsuX, iProspect).

The Marketplace team translates client business needs,Ā dentsu’sĀ strategic and commercial priorities, as well as emergent and established trends across the industry and society into strategic, value-driven, and beneficial partnerships. In addition, the teamĀ setsĀ the strategic partnership agenda for dentsu in the marketplace, new business, and product/solution design within the organization.Ā

Role PurposeĀ 

The Manager, Platforms will reportĀ toĀ the Director and manage partnerships acrossĀ programmatic and digital first partners,Ā both internally and externally.Ā This roleĀ supportsĀ all aspects of partnership operations and management, including supporting the creation of partnership strategy, ensuring excellence in execution of partnerships,Ā negotiatingĀ and delivering partnership agreements, managing communications,Ā and ensuring partnerships delivery against coreĀ objectives.Ā 

TheĀ Manager will also be tasked with creating and distributing internal resources and communications with the support of the Director and VP. The Manager will work with the team to ensure their core responsibilities contribute towards a cohesiveĀ partnershipĀ strategy and vision for dentsu.Ā 

This role aligns across several departments within dentsu, including technology, media, investment, innovation, activation,Ā tradingĀ and planning. Therefore,Ā anĀ ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create solutions for all is essential.Ā

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Relationship management across key partnershipsĀ 

  • Manage day-to-day needs and communication of partnerships, ensuring excellence in execution with team supportĀ 

  • Own various reporting needs, providing analytical support and insights to inform partnership strategy and business decisionsĀ 

  • Support team leadership to execute strategic visionĀ 

  • Be a subject-matter-expert in assigned specialism within the Platform teamĀ 

  • Work closely with Investment, Activation, andĀ AmplifiĀ Solutions to ensure partnership approach meets the needs of our clients and aligns to dentsu standardsĀ 

  • Inform and educate Investment & Activation teams on new and updated partner offerings, agreements, and deal detailsĀ 

  • Support the creation and execution of dentsu and clientĀ partnershipĀ agreementsĀ 

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines simultaneouslyĀ 

  • Support strategic planning and partner initiatives through the development of executive-ready presentations and materialsĀ 

  • Stay current on partner, industry, and marketplace developments, serving as a source of insight and education for internal teamsĀ 

  • Be seen as an integrator and problem solver both internally and externallyĀ

Qualifications:Ā 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (marketing, advertising, business,Ā math,Ā communications preferred)Ā 

  • 4+ years’ experience within the media industry as a partnership or investment memberĀ 

  • Consistent and exceptional project managementĀ 

  • Ability to properly delegate tasks, multitask and keep deadlinesĀ 

  • Thoughtful verbal and written communications, presentation, and analytical skillsĀ 

  • MSFT product suiteĀ expertiseĀ (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Ā 

  • Ability toĀ retainĀ professionalism in all situationsĀ 

  • Team player with ā€œgo-getterā€ demeanor

  • Passion for problem-solving and collaboration across teamsĀ 

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into actionable solutionsĀ

Additional Information:

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
