Porter

Position Overview

The Brodsky Organization is seeking experienced, service-oriented Porters to join our team at one of our premier luxury high-rise residential properties in New York City.

Reporting to the Building Superintendent, the Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of the property while providing exceptional service to residents, guests, and visitors. A qualified candidate must show initiative and good judgement in performing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.  

The position duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas and outdoor spaces.
• Support move-ins/move-outs and deliveries as directed.
• Collect and remove refuse and recycling in compliance with NYC sanitation guidelines
• Monitor and report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or repair needs promptly.
• Assist with light maintenance duties.
• Perform additional porter and building service duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Previous porter, janitorial, custodial, or residential building experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury residential, condominium, cooperative or hospitality environments is a plus
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and dependable.
• Applicants selected for this position are required to undergo a background check and a drug screen.

$22.00 - $30.77 per hour, commensurate with experience and 32BJ wage rates.
