Job DetailsJob Location: The Richmond - Staten Island, NY 10302Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Bachelor's DegreeSalary Range: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: DayResponsible for oversight of residential aides and families assigned to the shelter. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors, screens, and oversees all families assigned to the shelter. Responsible for access control, safety and security of all families assigned to the shelter. Works closely with the case management staff to meet the needs of the families. Assists families in developing their ADL skills, housekeeping as needed. Oversight and completion of unit inspections and documentation Monitor and Supervise food service in the kitchen for the families. Ensure removal of trash from the kitchen and documenting food discarded Monitor families for adherence to program and hotel rules. Complete wellness checks and responds to family health and mental health needs as needed. Complete incident reports in AWARDS and DHS CARES system Works collaboratively with and supervises the Resident Aides Any other duties assigned by the Shelter Director QualificationsPosition requires a High School Diploma but a bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred. Position also requires a food handlers license. Previous experience with the homeless population and/or comparable experience in a relative field a plus. Needs ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse caseload. Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions are needed. In addition, the Shift Supervisor, shall perform any duties as required to meet the new needs of the program and the clients we serve.
