Role Overview

The Site Coordinator provides leadership for the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 residential program, ensuring a safe, structured, and client-centered environment for both staff and clients. This role develops and supervises frontline operations staff while supporting BRC's mission of helping individuals experiencing homelessness and other complex needs achieve stability and independence.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the program's 24-hour Operations team, including Shift Supervisors and Community Technicians.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and high-quality client care.
  • Coach, train, and develop frontline staff on operational procedures, client engagement, documentation, emergency response, safety protocols, and daily responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular observations, performance feedback, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with agency policies and operational standards.
  • Oversee daily residential operations, including client supervision, meal service, activities of daily living (ADL) support, dormitory monitoring, safety, and facility operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, incident reports, logs, and operational records.
  • Maintain inventory of program supplies and oversee operational purchasing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, DHS regulations, fire safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate client groups and support client engagement activities as needed.
  • Participate as a member of the program's clinical and management leadership teams.
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and staff development.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR assistance when required.
  • Collaborate with clinical, medical, facilities, and administrative staff to ensure effective program operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in social services, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in homeless services, residential programs, behavioral health, or other human services settings.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
  • Experience managing 24/7 residential or shelter operations.
  • Demonstrated success in staff development, team building, and operational leadership.

Working Conditions

Designed for people experiencing long-term street homelessness who are not ready or willing to enter traditional shelters. The model is client-centered, prioritizes dignity, and removes barriers to engagement — no curfews or sobriety requirements. The goal is to prevent clients from returning to the street while providing a safe environment to stabilize and work toward housing.

Frequent interaction with clients, staff, visitors, and external partners.

Requires walking throughout the facility, conducting rounds, standing, bending, and occasionally lifting or moving supplies.

May be required to respond to medical, behavioral, or facility emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR as needed.

Work is performed in a fast-paced environment requiring sound judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a safe and supportive setting.
