The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000.00 and $205,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

The Vice President will be responsible for designing and delivering front-office technology solutions that support CCAR, stress testing, risk analytics, and regulatory reporting initiatives. The role will work closely with Risk, Quantitative Research, and Front Office stakeholders to implement scalable solutions across Capital Markets platforms. 

Role Objectives

•    Deliver technology solutions for CCAR and regulatory initiatives.
•    Partner with business, risk, and quantitative teams to refine requirements.
•    Design, develop, and support risk, analytics, and related data pipelines and platforms.
•    Contribute to architecture, testing, implementation, and production support.
•    Ensure compliance with technology standards and controls.

Qualifications and Skills

•    Experience in Capital Markets Technology.
•    Strong knowledge of derivatives and risk management concepts.
•    Strong programming and data skills (Python, Java, SQL).
•    Experience with CCAR, stress testing, or regulatory reporting initiatives.
•    Quantitative background in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Financial Engineering, or related discipline.

Additional Requirements
