Position Summary

Manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gifts, and faculty start-up funds. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, interpret terms of grant contracts, monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and prepare grant reporting. Administer the full lifecycle of sponsored research activities by serving as the primary departmental resource for proposal development, award management, sponsor communications, and research administration. Provide comprehensive operational support for sponsored projects by advising on proposal submissions and award activities, interpreting grant administration requirements, facilitating sponsor and research discussions, and independently resolving complex grant administration inquiries.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:2+ years relevant experience with budget or grants management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:2+ years Experience in an academic or research environment.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Knowledge of database and spreadsheet software.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of laws, principles, rules and policies relating to federally funded grants and contracts to universities.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
