Supervisor (Rec)

Job Summary

• Performs a variety of duties to meet the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of the residents through a variety of individual, group, and bedside activities
•  Welcomes, acquaints, and orients new residents to facility and visits all assigned residents daily.
•  Organizes residents into groups and distributes equipment, materials, and supplies in accordance with
  assigned projects and carries equipment, supplies, etc. to residents confined in bed.
•  Encourages residents’ voluntary participation in activities.
•  Transports residents to and from activities within the facility.
•  May arrange for transportation to enable residents to attend or participate in community affairs and outings.
•  Plans and implements programs and 1:1 intervention of assigned residents.
•  Observes residents’ programs and prepares necessary reports to aid in evaluation of progress.
•  Initiates and maintains progress notes, MDS +, and Comprehensive Care Plans on each resident on assigned floors.
• Submits appropriate reports as required.

Education Requirements
• Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation

Experience Requirements
• 1 to 3 years supervisory experience

License Requirements
• Must be certified, registered, or licensed
