- Promote a safe, cooperative and professional health care environment to
ensure optimum patient care (as per HR Policy 113c).
- Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including
but not limited to, absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code and
rules of conduct.
- Makes Customer Service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitors, and
co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively
communicates with patients and others about SBH services in their area(s) of
expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns, questions or issues reach
the right person(s) in SBH in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrates the standards of performance and behaviors consistent with the
DRIVE to Patient-Centered Excellence.

- Responsible for recruitment of anesthesia residents
- Participates with the interview process, screening applicants and
interviewing applicants for the residency program.
- Participates in Attending calibration meetings.
- gives lectures to residents
- Develop clinic protocols dealing with patient management and clinic
operations for operating room cases.
- Take the lead in the Department.
- Works with all section chiefs and chair on promoting a unified approach to
Department operations and protocols.

- Developing programs of interest and need for the Residents
- Manages patient complaints. (special needs adult cases)
- Participates in attending calibration meetings.

- Responsible for meeting all accreditation requirements set by CODA

- Develop monthly clinical and didactic schedules for anesthesia residents

Qualifications

-Education Required – DDS or DMD
-License(s) Required – NYS Dental License
-Experience/Skills Required – Boarded/Board Eligible. Experience in working in a
hospital environment with residents. Knowledge of research techniques, QA/QI
methods. Excellent organizational skills. Works well as a team member. Knowledge of all CODA requirements. Is open to innovative ideas and changes. Exceptional administrative and teaching abilities.
