Job DetailsJob Location: Chelsea Piers Fitness - All New York City Locations - New York, NY 10011Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 HourlyAbout Chelsea Piers:  At Chelsea Piers you will find colleagues who are passionate about what we do. Careers at Chelsea Piers offer unmatched facilities, excellent benefits, and proven career growth opportunities for people who are passionate about transforming the lives of our community through sports, fitness, and event experiences.  Chelsea Piers Fitness is expanding and redefining the luxury fitness experience. We are a community built on Empowerment, Purpose, Transformation, and Community. Our Hospitality Associates are the heartbeat of our brand – setting the tone for every workout, every recovery session, and every member interaction.   The Opportunity:  At Chelsea Piers Fitness, our Kids Clubhouse is where members’ children feel just as at home as their parents do on the gym floor. It is a member amenity, offered in small group sessions of up to 5 children, so parents can get their workout in with peace of mind while they're right there in the building. As a Babysitter, you'll be the friendly, familiar face who makes drop-off easy and pick-up the best part of a member's day – giving parents the freedom to focus on their workout, knowing their kids are having fun with you. We're looking for teammates who are genuinely excited to be part of that experience – for the kids as much as for the parents you're putting at ease.  Why You’ll Love Working Here:  You’ll Make Someone’s Day – every shift is a chance to do purpose-driven work and help someone feel seen, supported, and successful.  You’ll Play As A Team – we win together and support each other every day.  You’ll Experience Pathways for Growth – when you pay attention to the details and take ownership of your responsibilities, you open the door to opportunities across the organization.  It’s Fun – employees receive a complimentary all-access membership to Chelsea Piers Fitness plus discounts on in-club services.   The Role & Responsibilities:   As a Babysitter, you will have the responsibility of delivering excellent 5-star hospitality in line with our Chelsea Piers Standards of Excellence and our High Five Approach – creating moments of genuine connection, recognition, and warmth in every interaction.   The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.  Lead engaging, age-appropriate activities and small-group play for children ages 3 months–12 years  Build genuine relationships with kids and families – members should look forward to seeing you, not just dropping off their kids  Create a safe, clean, and welcoming Kids Clubhouse environment at all times  Communicate warmly and clearly with parents at drop-off and pick-up  Handle basic care needs (diapering, snacks, comforting an upset child) with patience and confidence  Respond quickly and calmly to any safety or medical concern  Keep the space organized and toys/materials in good condition  QualificationsThis Role Is For You If You Are:  Genuinely excited to work with kids in a small-group setting – patient, playful, and attentive  Focused on building relationships with member families so they keep coming back  Positive, can-do, and joyful, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment  Community-minded and an excellent communicator  Flexible with your schedule – availability on nights, weekends, and holidays  Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs  Preferred Qualifications:  1+ year experience caring for children ages 3 months–12 years  Classroom experience preferred  Associate's degree or higher required  CPR + Infant CPR Certified  Compensation:   12-29 hours per week, depending on club’s needs  Pay Transparency:   $18/hour
