(UAU) is a Staten Island-based community organization providing youth development, education, and community support services. The Group Leader supports COMPASS, SONYC, Beacon, and Cornerstone programs by supervising classroom-based afterschool activities for youth ages 5 to 13. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth while supporting program staff with daily operations and activity implementation.  REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: •    Must be at least 18 years of age •    High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred •    Minimum of two years of experience working directly with children ages 5 to 13 •    At least one year of experience in a classroom, daycare, or school-based setting •    Commitment to working from a strength-based perspective •    Cultural competence and the ability to effectively engage diverse populations •    Strong verbal and written communication skills •    Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills •    Ability to work independently and collaboratively •    Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate flexibility •    Must pass required reference checks and background clearances as required by DOH, DOE, DYCD, and UAU   QualificationsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  •    Ability to work both indoors and outdoors based on program needs and weather conditions •    Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday •    May require prolonged standing and walking during program hours •    Ability to remain in a stationary position for portions of the day •    Ability to communicate clearly and exchange accurate information •    Ability to observe details at close range EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER United Activities Unlimited, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
