Sonic Summary

The Newborn Hearing Screener will assess newborns' hearing using Otoacoustic Emission and/or Algo hearing screeners under the guidance of a licensed Audiologist.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Candidates must possess Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and have moderate data processing and typing skills.
Effective communication skills in English and legible handwriting are essential for documenting results and coordinating follow-ups.

The Newborn Hearing Screener under the tutelage of licensed Audiologist is responsible for assessing all newborns for hearing using Otoaccoustics Emission and/or Algo hearing screeners. Documents the results in the Electronic Medical Records and log, as well as communicates to the Audiologist all missed patients for follow-up appointments and maintains a tracking system.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED
Experience in a healthcare setting - Preferred
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Proficiently read and write in English
Legible handwriting
Moderate data processing/typing skills.
Ability to meet public, communicate clearly with people and other professionals.
