Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem - Acute Care and IRU 

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital our Speech-Language Pathologists help adult patients experiencing serious impairments to connect with the world around them. Under the supervision of the Manager of Speech-Language Pathology, you will provide care to patients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including the outpatient clinic, Adult ICUs, and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. Join our dedicated team and help uphold NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital’s reputation for delivering exceptional patient care.

This per diem position is primarily based in the outpatient setting, with opportunities to provide cross-coverage in acute inpatient services as needed. The schedule is Thursdays and Fridays, with weekend and Holiday commitment at NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

 Preferred Criteria

• Experience working with Trach/Vent patients

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Certification of clinical competence in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language-Pathology Association

• New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

• Adult experience in inpatient and outpatient setting

• Experience in dysphagia evaluation/treatment across the lifespan

• Competency in Modified Barium Swallow Study and/or FEES
