Warehouse Forklift Operator

Imperial Trading is hiring Warehouse Forklift Operators for first- and second-shift openings at our Harahan, Louisiana warehouse in the New Orleans metropolitan area. You will operate forklifts or reach trucks, depending on your assigned shift, to store products, replenish picking locations, and support accurate customer order fulfillment.

Available Shifts

1st Shift

• Monday through Friday, 4:00 a.m. until work is complete.
• Equipment: Forklifts and reach trucks.

2nd Shift

• Sunday, 9:00 a.m. until work is complete; Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM until work is complete.
• Equipment: Reach trucks only.

End times vary based on workload. Employees can generally expect a 40-hour workweek.

Incentives and Bonuses

Daily incentive and bonus opportunities are available on eligible shifts.

What You’ll Do

• Operate assigned forklifts or reach trucks to move and stage products safely.
• Put received products into assigned warehouse storage locations.
• Replenish picking locations so products are available for order selection.
• Use a handheld scanner (scan gun) to record put-away, replenishment, and other inventory movements accurately.
• Move products manually when needed and protect nearby employees, products, and warehouse property while completing assigned work.

• Ability to operate the equipment assigned to your shift safely and meet company equipment training and qualification requirements.
• Ability to follow warehouse location instructions and record product movements accurately.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Regular, reliable attendance for the assigned shift.
• Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements

Work includes sitting, standing, reaching, handling products, and operating warehouse equipment. The position requires regularly lifting 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
