Part-Time Cashier – HomeSense

HomeSense is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team! As a cashier, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive shopping experience by welcoming customers, providing excellent service, and ensuring every transaction is handled accurately and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, engaging customer service at the register and throughout the store
- Accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges while following company procedures
- Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately and responsibly
- Promote HomeSense credit and loyalty programs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area
- Assist with merchandise recovery and maintaining the sales floor when needed
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including operational, safety, and loss-prevention standards
- Work collaboratively with fellow associates and supervisors
- Provide and accept constructive feedback with a positive attitude
- Help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for customers and associates
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and approachable personality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a register
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to work effectively with both customers and fellow associates
- Flexible and dependable with scheduling
- Open availability Monday through Sunday is required
- Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred, but not required
- Must meet applicable minimum age requirements; 18+ preferred
Schedule
Part-Time | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Open availability Monday–Sunday is required.
