About the role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams. These teams include supply chain, project controls, design, and quality engineering. Your goal is to ensure the successful execution of fabrication, machining, and inspection activities.

 

You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at our Newington facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes
  • Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations
  • Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization
  • Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring resolution of issues

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related engineering degree
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes, welding technology, dimensional inspection, and NDE processes

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
