Job Description

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver Specialist in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering variety throughout your shift as you support daily operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor assigned areas for policy compliance, assist with crowd and/or line management during busy shopping periods, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, answering questions, reporting maintenance and/or hazard concerns, and completing required security-related logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
