Hiring Range

$27.30 - $37.58/Hourly
Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Overview
Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of Sleep Disorders, to include polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient care and education. Must be able to provide care in accordance to AASM gold standards and guidelines for accredited sleep centers.

What you will do
  • Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, to include polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education.
  • Collects, analyzes and integrates patient information in order identify and meet patient needs, specifically physical and/or mental limitations, current emotional and physiological status regarding the testing procedure, and pertinent medical and social history.
  • Defines final testing parameters/procedures within the context of the physician’s orders and department policies and protocols. Provides education and positions the patient for the procedure.
  • Records and monitors information from the procedure. Collects, scores and analyzes patient data relevant to the patient diagnosis, in accordance with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Scoring Rules, as amended by Sleep Center protocols
  • Assists co-workers in patient care to provide a safe working environment. Responds and addresses patient needs.

Qualifications

Education
  • Program Graduate, Polysomnography (Required)

Experience
  • 1 year Polysomnography (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA.
  •  Should be able to communicate well with providers, patients and techs using current sleep terminology. Demonstrates ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Computer Applications to perform job functions.

Licenses and Certifications
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Upon Hire(Required)
