Job Summary

Are you an experienced administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting and enjoys helping patients feel supported from the moment they arrive? We are hiring a full-time Clinic/Practice Assistant to join the Joint Center team at our 2000 Washington Street location in Newton. This on-site role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the opportunity to play an important part in delivering a smooth, high-quality patient experience.
About the Role
As a Clinic/Practice Assistant, you will support both administrative and clinical operations for the practice. You will help coordinate patient visits, manage scheduling and check-in/check-out processes, support documentation needs, and serve as a key resource for patients, providers, and practice staff.
What You’ll Do
• Schedule patient appointments, maintain appointment records, and support check-in and check-out activities.
• Assist patients and callers with routine inquiries, messages, and scheduling needs.
• Process patient billing forms, scan documents, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Support prior authorizations, prescription refill requests, provider questions, and test result communications as appropriate.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for scheduling, registration, and billing systems.
• Provide guidance and support to Office and Practice Assistants, including assistance and training in key systems and processes.
• Assist with more complex practice functions, which may include surgical scheduling, schedule changes, or blocking.
• Work closely with the Supervisor to help oversee daily practice activities and maintain efficient operations.

This is a full-time, 40-hour, on-site position located at 2000 Washington Street in Newton. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
