Description

George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, seeks a Registered Nurse (per diem) for the Saturday and/or Sunday day or evening shifts (9 am-3 pm or 3pm–11pm). 


Responsibilities

  • Serve and evaluate the students who are ill or injured.
  • Provide emergency care and basic first aid.
  • Dispense and administer prescribed medications per physician instructions.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of students.
  • Administer policies, procedures and clinical protocols of George School's Student Health and Wellness Center.
  • Maintain accurate health records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid RN or LPN license
  • At least 5 years of experience preferred.
  • CPR/AED certified required.
  • Experience in pediatric care preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant health regulations and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a school environment.
  • Commitment to working towards antiracism and developing and practicing cultural competency.
