Lead Grounds Maintenance Engineer

Do you enjoy working outdoors, leading a team, and creating beautiful, well-maintained spaces? Are you someone who takes pride in keeping grounds safe, clean, and inviting year-round? If so, we'd love to have you join our team as a Lead Grounds Maintenance Engineer!

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee daily grounds maintenance operations while working alongside your team to keep our property looking its best.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and supervise the Grounds Maintenance team while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain all outdoor areas through mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, raking, and general landscape care.
  • Keep sidewalks, walkways, and public areas clean, safe, and free of debris.
  • Perform snow removal and apply ice melt during winter weather conditions.
  • Coordinate and assist with setup and teardown for special events throughout the property.
  • Operate company vehicles and a variety of landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on assigned equipment.
  • Train, coach, and support Grounds Maintenance team members while ensuring quality work standards.
  • Promote a culture of outstanding guest service for both internal and external guests.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and all company safety policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and communicate important information with the team.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and assist with additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of grounds maintenance or landscaping experience preferred.
  • Previous lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience operating landscaping equipment and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and exceptional guest service.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
