Job Summary

Grand View Lodge is looking for an energetic, guest-focused Barista to be the face of our coffee and beverage operation. You'll craft specialty coffee drinks, serve some alcohol, handle food safely, and deliver the kind of warm, attentive service that makes guests feel genuinely taken care of. When you're on shift, you own the area; maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, product quality, and service consistency that reflects our values of gratitude, respect, attentiveness, and a pursuit of excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet every guest with a warm smile and genuine care — whether at the counter or anywhere on property.
  • Take orders promptly and accurately; prepare specialty coffee drinks and serve alcohol with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Handle all food safely and maintain a clean, organized work area at all times — cleanliness and presentation are part of the experience.
  • Review food for freshness and ensure an adequate supply is ready; anticipate product needs and order supplies as necessary.
  • Check in product, stock shelves, and review invoices as needed to keep the operation running smoothly.
  • Operate the register accurately — processing payments, making change, and handling transactions with care.
  • Work closely with your team to ensure every guest leaves satisfied and every shift runs well.
  • Maintain strict personal hygiene and dress standards consistent with Grand View Lodge guidelines.
  • This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons is required.

What you bring:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older; required, as this role involves serving alcohol.
  • Prior guest service or hospitality experience preferred, ideally in a higher-end coffee, café, or restaurant setting.
  • Genuine warmth and care for guests, you take pride in making people feel welcome and well served.
  • Strong multitasking ability and composure when things get busy; you stay focused, organized, and positive under pressure.
  • Clear communication and active listening skills; you pick up on what guests need and respond with care.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
