Job DetailsJob Location: Gwinnett - Norcross, GA 30093PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Clinical Behavior Specialist I (CBS-I) will provide quality care and support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, functional analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).   SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of ABA/Autism Services, the CBS provides direct ABA services, clinical supervision, consultation, and parent training/education to children and families seen through the ESNG Child Development Centers and Babies Can’t Wait. They oversee a team of behavior technicians (BTs) who provide developmental and autism related services. Treatment will occur in various locations such as the home of the child, child development center classrooms, ABA clinic, or other locations specified.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to): COMMUNICATIONS and PUBLIC RELATIONS Provides daily behavioral services to children and families either directly or through coaching and supervision of a team of behavior technicians implementing high quality, ethical, and individualized treatment plans. Designs, implements, and monitors comprehensive behavioral assessment and treatment programs for skill acquisition, addressing barriers to learning, and behavior reduction for children, families, and caregivers in accordance with the ages of the population served. Provides direct, individualized, and comprehensive caregiver/parent coaching, training, and supports. Maintains assigned caseload including but not limited to assessment of daily, weekly, monthly data, graphs, and progress notes. Ensures timely and continual training of assigned team. Conducts self responsibly and ethically, comes to work in a timely manner, and maintains appropriate therapist-patient relationships. Completes all paperwork and documentation in a timely manner. Maintains appropriate communication (e.g., phone, email, progress notes) with caregivers, ESNG center staff and outside agencies regarding treatment, development of plan of care, and goals/objectives. Provides coaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, classroom-based instruction, and in-service instruction to other support professionals. Collaborates across multidisciplinary team settings. Completes all tasks related to the conduct of clinical services. Assists with completion of quarterly and annual reports. Responsible for regularly scheduled case reviews with the Program Manager or Director. Participates in regularly scheduled clinical supervision and consultation with the Program Manager or Director. Conducts regular team supervision meetings with behavior technicians to support their professional growth. Follows best practices and remains up to date with research as related to cases.   CONTENT AREA RESOURCE Serves as a resource for Babies Can’t Wait and Child Development Center Teams Provides consultation to community providers Provides oversight to the BT(s) to ensure the timely completion of appropriate treatment of children with autism.   LEARNING and GROWTH Lead/attend meetings and conduct on-going staff trainings.   COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS Participates in regular meetings with Babies Can’t Wait and/or Child Development Center Staff to ensure the smooth delivery of services and transition plans as needed. Seeks out community resources that would provide additional revenue to enhance services for children. Collaborates with community organizations including but not limited to Babies Can’t Wait to ensure that the recruitment effort includes children who have severe disabilities and other special needs.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The ability to stand for sustained periods of time. The ability to walk for sustained periods of time including responding quickly to safety concerns The ability to use hands and fingers to feel, operate a computer, and perform picking, pinching and whole hand or arm handling tasks. The ability to climb stairs. The ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, sit on the floor, or crawl as needed when working with small children on their level. The ability to reach, extending arms in any direction. The ability to push or pull objects weighing > 25 pounds. The ability to lift and carry a child up to age 5 The ability to talk in order to accurately exchange information. The ability to hear in order to accurately exchange information. The ability to see clearly in order to maintain child safety and supervision, use a computer, and for extensive reading and writing. The ability to work in both indoor conditions and outdoor conditions.   OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned by management.    QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) /Clinical Behavior Specialist Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, applied behavior analysis, psychology or related field. Must be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Verbal Behavior, Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Discrete Trail Teaching (DTT), and Behavior Skills Training (BST). Expert knowledge of scientifically-validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current related research findings. Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skills, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills and interpersonal relations Familiar with the field of early intervention; knowledge of other community resources and agencies that serve children. Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD.
