Join the Hope House Foundation Thrift Store team! We are a nonprofit organization seeking a dependable, customer-focused team member who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Schedule Applicants must be available for all three shifts: Monday 10a-2p Friday 2p-6 Saturday 10a-6p What You'll Do Customer & Donor Service Welcome and assist customers and donors in a friendly and professional manner. Help donors unload and process donated items. Answer questions and provide excellent customer service. Store Operations Organize and prioritize daily tasks effectively. Operate the cash register and process sales transactions. Assist with donation pickups when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and appealing sales floor and merchandise displays. Help ensure the security and proper handling of store merchandise. Merchandise Processing Sort, price, tag, and prepare donated items for sale. Assist with organizing and disposing of non-sellable donations. Support inventory flow and stock rotation. Housekeeping & Maintenance Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties. Report maintenance or equipment concerns promptly. Teamwork & Engagement Attend quarterly team meetings. Support the thrift store's mission, goals, and policies. Contribute positively to the success of the team and Hope House Foundation. Special Events Assist with special projects, including support for the Hope House Foundation booth at the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival and other community events. What We're Looking For Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be available to work all scheduled shifts: Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move donated merchandise (up to 40 pounds). Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Comfortable operating a cash register and handling cash transactions accurately.
