Manchester University is seeking applications for an Adjunct Course Developer for our undergraduate and graduate-level programs. In this project-based role, you will collaborate with faculty, academic leadership, and instructional design professionals to create engaging online learning experiences that foster student success and reflect Manchester University's mission of educating the whole person. Through innovative course design and a student-centered approach, you will help shape accessible, high-quality educational opportunities that prepare learners to lead with purpose, integrity, and compassion in a changing world. 


What You'll Do: 

  • Design and develop online course content aligned with university quality standards.
  • Create learning objectives, instructional materials, assessments, rubrics, and student engagement activities.
  • Build and organize course content within the University's Learning Management System.
  • Ensure course materials meet accessibility, copyright, and academic quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and academic leadership throughout the course development process.
  • Revise and refine course content based on feedback and complete projects within established timelines.


What You'll Need: 

  • Master's degree or doctorate in a related discipline, with professional experience and credentials appropriate to the subject area.
  • Experience developing or teaching college-level coursework, preferably in online learning environments.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and online learning best practices.
  • Strong written communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with technology, including learning management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
