Solder Technician

Location: Ogden, UT
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

EMS Solutions is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Solder Technician to join our electronics manufacturing team! If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in precision, and have experience working with electronic components, we'd love to hear from you!

Enjoy a consistent schedule with Fridays off and a 3-day weekend every week!

What You'll Do

• Solder surface mount (SMT) and through-hole electronic components.

• Inspect circuit boards, solder joints, and component placement for quality.

• Perform rework and repairs on electronic assemblies.

• Use soldering tools, microscopes, and inspection equipment.

• Follow IPC quality standards, ESD procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure high-quality results.

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.

What We're Looking For

• Previous electronics assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.

• Soldering experience with SMT and through-hole components preferred.

• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications, or ability to obtain and maintain them.

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards.

• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.

• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently or with a team.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Perform detailed, repetitive work with small components.

• Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

• Ability to use microscopes and inspection equipment.
