Job Responsibilities:

As a Metal Laser / Forming Machine Operator, you will:

• Read specifications or follow verbal instructions
• Perform laser cutting operations – selecting proper cutting programs, use of proper fixtures, establish proper stop location and adjusting laser beam focal point.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
• Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines such as power presses, saws, plate rolls, drills, brakes, punch presses, computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment, and other hand tools to cut, bend, roll, ream, punch and drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products
• Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications as required
• Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs or prescribed maintenance 
• May select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable part(s) condition to supervisor. 
• Safely operate forklift 
• Document work completed as required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position.
• Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday – 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. (4/10-hour shifts)
