TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client, an internationalmanufacturing organization with its US headquarters in WNY, is looking to add aTechnical Support Specialist to their growing team. This employee will play a critical role in providinghands-on technical support/training to team members and customers to ensureseamless operational efficiency of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional technical support both in-office and on-site for regional customers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, recommending cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs and provide swift resolutions
- Field customer inquiries and respond promptly via phone, online platforms, or in person
- Run on-site training sessions for customers and regional representatives on equipment operation and best practices
- Travel within the assigned region to support equipment start-ups, commissioning activities, and troubleshooting efforts as needed (approximately 20% travel)
- Collaborate with various internal teams and external vendors to enhance products, processes, and overall operational efficiency
- Develop, implement, and document corrective action plans when necessary in order to address quality or performance concerns
- Analyze current processes to determine areas for improvement, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing cycle times, and improving overall performance
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- 100% in-office/on-site
- Up to 20% travel within assigned region
- $70,000 – $85,000 annually depending on experience
- Associate’s degree in Electrical or Building Controls, or related preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in HVAC/Controls industry experience
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with various team members/customers
- Experience working in an industrial environment; strong knowledge of centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, building automation controls/communication protocols (BACnet/Modbus)
- Bilingual is preferred: Spanish
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills, analytical, and time management skills
- Strong & creative problem solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
