Wage Range: $12.50-14.00/hour

Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

Kitchen workers’ job of the Lion’s Pause is to make a variety of foods, ranging from pizza to milkshakes, maintain a clean kitchen and welcoming environment, handle and exchange money from customers, and/or deliver food to students in residential halls on campus.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Clean shake and ice cream machines and ovens

• Handle cash registers

• Open and close the kitchen when needed

• Do and sign off on shift responsibilities

• Make a variety of foods for customers

• Maintain a clean kitchen

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Interest in working in the Pause kitchen as part of a large team to provide food service to the campus. 

Physical and Environmental Factors:

This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs., and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, chemicals, and proximity hazards, as well as rare exposure to wet or humid conditions indoors, extreme cold, extreme heat, and heights or cramped quarters. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
