SERVER ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

Promptly deliver food and items ordered by guests without delay and in a highly presentable manner according to table and position number.
Check each order for any special instructions and/or restrictions before delivering order to the table.
Be fully aware of service flow in the dining area.
Pull and arrange tables and chairs for guests when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times in accordance with restaurant standards, completing pre-shift, post-shift, daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned by management.
With the guidance of the General Manager, you may be asked to train new Server Assistants.
Clear dishes from a table as is appropriate.
Carefully watch tables and fill water glasses and other drinks as appropriate.
Provide friendly, gracious, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests
Clean and reset tables and transport dirty dishes to dish room
Performing cleaning side work as assigned.
Support servers in other duties as needed.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Have valid food handler and alcohol seller certifications.
High school education or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday.
Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties.
This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions.
