Your Role:

• Lead interactive after-school sessions centered around STEM (or STEAM) and/or cooking, using provided curriculum.
• Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can actively participate in hands-on experiments and creative projects.
• Inspire a lifelong passion for learning by encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

• Brings experience working with children, whether in a school, camp, or similar setting, and is excited to make a positive impact on their educational journey.
• Demonstrates effective classroom management skills, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for students to learn and explore.

Your Schedule and Pay:

• Pay is $60 per class (class is 1 hour long) The pay rate for this position accounts for approximately two hours of work, including 1 hour class time, necessary preparation, and clean up.  
• We will pair you up with the schools conveniently located near you
• All classes run around the same time starting between 2-5pm (depending on the school) in the afternoon and run for 1 hour. You can only teach 1 class per day or up to 5 classes per week.

• Lead dynamic after-school classes based on the curriculum we provide. We offer cooking and science classes, you can teach both of just one of the programs.

• Provide structured and hands on classes

• Have experience working with children in diverse settings such as classrooms, enrichment programs, or community initiatives.
• Have strong classroom management skills

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.

Physical Requirements:The physical requirements listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to stand and move throughout a classroom setting during program instruction.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel as needed during program setup, instruction, and cleanup.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and transport program materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to load and unload program supplies from a vehicle, as applicable.
• Ability to travel to assigned program locations.
