Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000 (good-faith estimate upon hire)

Additional Compensation:

This position may be considered for annual performance-based salary increases; eligibility and amounts are determined by individual performance and business needs.

Total Compensation:

In addition to base pay, this position may be considered for performance-based salary increases. Oak Valley Community Bank is seeking an experienced Agriculture Commercial Loan Underwriter to join our Credit Administration team. This role is ideal for a credit professional who enjoys analyzing complex agricultural operations, evaluating risk, and structuring sound credit solutions, without the pressure of sales goals or portfolio production requirements.

Located in the heart of California's agricultural economy, you'll partner with lenders throughout Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, and surrounding counties to support local farming operations, agribusinesses, and commercial customers. Your expertise will directly influence lending decisions that help sustain one of the nation's most productive agricultural regions.

What You'll Do

As an Agriculture Commercial Loan Underwriter, you will:

• Analyze agricultural and commercial loan requests ranging from operating lines and equipment loans to real estate and complex agribusiness relationships
• Review financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow analyses to assess credit quality and repayment capacity
• Evaluate agricultural operations, commodity exposures, market conditions, and industry-specific risks
• Prepare comprehensive written credit presentations and loan recommendations
• Structure credit facilities that balance customer needs with sound risk management principles
• Perform financial spreading and credit analysis for new and existing lending relationships
• Work closely with lenders and credit administration to support profitable and prudent growth
• Ensure compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

• Experience underwriting agricultural, commercial, or agribusiness loans
• Strong financial statement and tax return analysis skills
• Knowledge of agricultural operations, seasonal cash flows, and industry risk factors
• Ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, and emerging risks within complex borrowing relationships
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to present credit recommendations clearly and concisely
• Experience with commercial real estate, equipment financing, operating lines, and agricultural lending structures preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or equivalent experience
