The Vines Hospital (affiliated with Universal Health Services), located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults and adolescents in a secure and private setting. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment. We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL. Job Summary

 

The PRN Admissions Nurse is Responsible for being able to perform all aspects of The Vines Hospital’s intake and admission process, including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals; making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to The Vines Hospital’s physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4. The RN will review packets, accept and admit patients. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision and will work with all facility units: business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.

 

The Vines' Admissions department is an exciting atmosphere where we help patients make decisions to seek help. In the Admissions department, we work together as a team. With 1 in 5 adults suffering from a mental illness, the  PRN Admissions RN must be able to adapt and flow to the ever changing needs of our patients. The PRN Admissions RN will triage and assess people in crisis.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Qualifications

 

Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred. Previous assessment experience required.

License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.

Skills: Excellent communication skills.  Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
