Position Summary
We are currently seeking a CT Technologist (PRN) to join our team in Ocala, FL. This role is responsible for performing a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans. The ideal candidate will have experience in both radiography and CT, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide clear instructions regarding procedures

  • Schedule and prepare patients for CT procedures

  • Perform complex CT scans using scanners, power injectors, and other related equipment following radiation safety procedures

  • Position patients accurately and adjust equipment settings based on individual needs

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and barium as required

  • Ensure proper equipment function and promptly report malfunctions

  • Perform exams per established protocols, policies, and safety standards

  • Review CT images for quality, ensure proper labeling, and process related paperwork

  • Assist in training and orientation for new CT technologists and student technologists

  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and families before, during, and after procedures

Qualifications
Education:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in radiography and/or computed tomography

Certifications & Licensure:

  • State of Florida Radiologic Technologist License

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R))

  • ARRT certification in CT (CT) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy

  • Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and IV administration

  • Skilled in operating and troubleshooting radiologic equipment

  • Competent in using computer systems for imaging and documentation

  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and provide excellent patient care
