Lead Radiology Technologist

Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care and leading radiology operations in a dynamic hospital environment? If so, we are looking for a dedicated Lead Radiology Technologist to join our team. Your expertise in diagnostic imaging, combined with strong leadership skills, will be essential in delivering high-quality imaging services and fostering a culture of safety and excellence. 


Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise and coordinate radiology operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control processes. 
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound, as certified. 
  • Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to a new hospital setting. 
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate imaging staff, promoting a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality. 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, radiation safety protocols, and accreditation requirements. 
  • Maintain and monitor imaging equipment, coordinating with vendors for servicing, calibration, and repairs. 
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize patient care and streamline imaging services. 
  • Participate in readiness activities for state and accreditation surveys to ensure compliance and quality standards are met. 

Skills and Qualities:  

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals. 
  • Compassionate, patient, and capable of handling diverse patient populations with empathy. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and best practices in radiological technology. 
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment. 

Qualifications:  

  • 3–5 years of experience in modalities such as CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound, verified by ARRT or RDMS certification. 
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience is required. 
  • Minimum of one year of hospital-based imaging experience. 
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with relevant training and experience. 
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS). 
  • BLS certification is required. 
  • Multimodality Technologists must have certification in two or more modalities or have completed an accredited cross-training program. 

Working Conditions:  

  • Potential exposure to body fluids and infectious diseases, necessitating strict adherence to infection control protocols.
