We are looking for a Railcar Paint & Blast Repair Supervisor to lead frontline operations, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive daily execution on the shop floor. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is passionate about leading teams and delivering operational results.Â

What You’ll Do:Â
This role is responsible for leading repair operations, overseeing hourly employees, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all work activities.Â
On any given day, you will:Â
Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees across repair activitiesÂ
Drive safe work practices and ensure adherence to all safety standardsÂ
Ensure compliance with OSHA, FRA, AAR, company, and customer requirementsÂ
Monitor daily production, track work in process, and update job statusÂ
Participate in daily production meetings and communicate progress updatesÂ
Partner with Quality and EHS teams to maintain compliance and audit readinessÂ
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employeesÂ
Manage materials and equipment in coordination with Materials leadershipÂ
Identify improvement opportunities and support process enhancementsÂ
Address employee relations matters, including coaching and corrective actionsÂ

What We’re Looking For:Â
We’re seeking a strong people leader with operational knowledge and a focus on safety, quality, and execution.Â
Requirements:Â
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
5+ years of experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial operationsÂ
Prior supervisory or team leadership experienceÂ
Knowledge of FRA regulations and AAR Interchange RulesÂ
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawingsÂ
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsÂ
Preferred:Â
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Â
Experience leading in aregulated environment Â
Background in continuous improvement or Lean practicesÂ
Â
Work Environment:Â
Significant time spent on the shop floor in an industrial environment Â
Exposure to equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions Â
Physical activity including walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)Â Â
Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety standardsÂ

Location: Oelwein, Iowa
Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Compensation: Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 with 10% Production Bonus
