Responsibilities

This position offers a mix of clinic-based patient care and hospital responsibilities, working closely with Dr. Parker and the medical team.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide primary and specialty health care under the direction of the physician
  • Conduct patient histories, physical assessments, clinical evaluations, and interpret findings
  • See new patients in clinic and manage follow-up appointments
  • Perform hospital rounds and evaluate new patient consults
  • Complete histories and physicals (H&Ps), discharge summaries, and clinical documentation
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and reports
  • Respond to the physician's pager calls while the physician is in procedures, as directed
  • Build strong relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the medical staff
  • Collaborate with the physician and care team to provide high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner- National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in the following specialties: Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care.

 

Physician's Assistant - Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or graduate from ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on education for the Physician Assistant) approved program. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.

    

Licensure/Certification:   Current BLS certification required. 

 

Experience: Cardiology experience preferred.
