Job DetailsJob Location: OK Oklahoma City - Oklahoma City, OK 73129Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob Category: Admin - ClericalTitle:               DOT Compliance Generalist               Department:   Safety and Compliance                                  Location:        OKC Corporate Office Reports To:    Director of Compliance                       FLSA:            Non-Exempt   Purpose:             The Compliance Generalist will promote safety throughout the organization, maintain overall compliance while assisting with training, reporting and administrative tasks related to driver success. UPT is committed to the Guiding Principles of the Responsible Care initiative and anticipates that all employees will share our commitment by conducting themselves consistent with those principles to make the industry even safer for our employees and communities.   Essential Job Functions: Contribute to the development of effective training materials, processes, and programs. Work with both HR and the Manager of Training in organizing continuing education for new and existing employees. Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of the department. Maintains all training records, rosters, and training data input. Assist in auditing training files. Assists employees with problems under guidance during training periods & “how to” perform specific tasks related to their positions. Handle special training projects as they arise Assist with ensuring all driver qualification files are current and complete Assist with Independent Contractor insurance Assist in all permitting; company, driver, truck and trailer. Communicating with new and current Independent Contractors to lease on new units Audits Driver Qualification files to ensure they are accurate and in compliance with DOT regulations. Assist with audits of Compliance programs and files. Crosstrain with both Compliance and Recruiting. Promote safety as a core value of the company Document/follow up on all complaint calls Administer violation reviews / MVR annually Monitor and report roadside inspections Assist with audits of Risk Management programs and files Cross train with leaders in all risk management sub departments to reduce redundancy in overall operations Additional Responsibilities: Carries out duties assigned by the supervisor as required.  QualificationsMinimum Qualifications for Consideration:   Must have a willingness to continue professional development Must have high aptitude for using technology and receptive to change Must have the ability to recognize problems and recommend viable solutions Must demonstrate resourcefulness and ability to take initiative  Must have the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines Must display professional demeanor at all times   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Customer Service experience preferred Capable of doing general math and analytical problems preferred Knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA regulations preferred Proficient in (Word, Excel, & Outlook) Skilled at the support and maintenance of Microsoft Office Excellent training and user interaction skills Experience with TMW, PAYCOM or VYOND are encouraged  Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity Working Conditions: Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
