Job DetailsJob Location: Oklahoma City, OKPosition Type: Full TimeJasco is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development, qualification, and launch of innovative consumer electronic and home electrical products. This role is responsible for driving product development from concept through production, leveraging strong technical expertise to create high-quality, cost-effective products that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and development partners to bring new products to market while improving existing product designs, quality, and performance. Key Responsibilities Support product development teams in both technical and business-related activities throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct competitive benchmarking and technology evaluations to identify opportunities for new product innovation and product improvements. Lead or coordinate the development of product designs, including electrical, functional, and aesthetic requirements. Support intellectual property reviews and investigations related to product designs and technologies. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, quality, reliability, and environmental risks associated with product development programs. Participate in new product introduction activities and engineering change management processes. Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to define and document product requirements, specifications, and performance criteria. Assist in product qualification, verification, validation, and beta testing activities. Provide technical guidance for product testing and the development of test plans and evaluation methodologies. Participate in supplier selection and qualification activities based on technical capabilities, quality systems, cost, and performance metrics. Evaluate supplier quality processes and work with suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues. Analyze test and inspection data and drive corrective actions when necessary. Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and technology partners to support the development of innovative products. Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory (FCC, DOE, CEC, ISED), safety (UL, ETL, CSA, CPSC), environmental (, and industry standards (ANSI, IEC). Review product packaging, labeling, user documentation, and instructions for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Perform root cause investigations and technical analysis of product performance, reliability, and field issues. Support licensed, branded, and private-label product development programs as required. Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments through technical seminars, trade shows, and professional development activities. Maintain knowledge of technologies commonly used in consumer electronics and connected devices, including wireless communications, USB, Bluetooth, RF, infrared, power conversion, and related technologies.   Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical design, product development, qualification, testing, or manufacturing. Knowledge of product development processes, manufacturing methods, and quality systems preferred. Experience working with domestic and international suppliers, contract manufacturers, or development partners preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
