RN- CLINICAL PRACTICE (FT/Days) Pre-Op Clinic

Job Details: Job Location: Medical Office Building (MOB) - Oklahoma City, OK, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Days, DEFINITION:Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, gathers the medical/surgical history and medication lists for all patients having surgery at McBride Orthopedic Hospital, performs interviews on applicable patients and provides pre-operative education prior to surgery. Compiles, organizes, and prepares all pre-operative charts for the Hospital and OSC, obtaining Anesthesia approval for applicable patients. Works cooperatively with the physician offices to facilitate the pre-operative admission process for patients. This is a safety sensitive position.Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current license by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.  Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.  Basic computer knowledge and skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:Previous Hospital Experience required, with ICU or ER experience preferred; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, physicians, medical providers, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
