Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Welder 1 to join our growing team. The Welder 1 assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus.


Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:


Ā· Scrapers, 7ā€ grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used

Ā· Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components

Ā· Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area

Ā· Must always have a high awareness for safety

Ā· Any other duties assigned

Ā· Must train on company policies and procedures

Ā· Must follow welding procedures


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


Ā· Familiar/fluent in MIG processes

Ā· Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus

Ā· Welding certifications beneficial but not required

Requirements

Ā· Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time

Ā· Must wear proper safety equipment

Ā· Ability to read a tape measure

Ā· Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)


Boot Requirements:Ā 

Ā· Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards

Ā· Must be full-leather (no fabric)

Ā· Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
