POSITION TITLE:  Modified Emergency Substitute Teacher
SCHOOL/LOCATION: To be determined on an as-needed basis
REQUIREMENTS:  Must be 21 years or older, and must be able to show a valid high school diploma or transcripts. Must complete required training for KSDE.

HOURS OF WORK: Varies

STARTING SALARY: $15.00 hour

POSITION SUMMARY:  The placement could be in one location for 1-15 days. Can share your preference for Elementary, Middle, or High school positions. This is an itinerate position and you will be placed daily into sub jobs by the sub services team.

CLEARANCES REQUIRED: Criminal justice fingerprint, background clearance, TB test and physical


 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position instructs students in a classroom which could include students with educational risk factors, as well as students with special needs. The teacher is responsible for the implementation of the district curriculum in a way that maximizes student learning. The teacher is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignment.
