DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:  To be determined on an as-needed basis
STATUS:   Certified 
REQUIREMENT:   Kansas professional teaching license, Kansas substitute teaching license, or emergency substitue license are required for substitute teaching.
HOURS OF WORK:   As needed
STARTING SALARY: $18.06-$20.63 hourly
CLEARANCES REQUIRED: Criminal justice fingerprint, background clearance, TB test and physical

POSITION SUMMARY:  The placement could be in one location for one or several days at a time. Can choose either Elementary, Middle, or High school hours. Working with various MS Office applications.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position instructs students in a classroom which could include students with educational risk factors, as well as students with special needs. Differentiating instruction for a wide range of developmental needs is required. The teacher must understand children with significant needs and behaviors and how to program for them. The teacher is responsible for the implementation of the district curriculum in a way that maximizes student learning. The teacher is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within his/her teaching assignment. The ability to form relationships with a wide variety of children and families is essential when working in long term positions.
