Job Details: Job Location: Lindhurst Medical - Olivehurst, CA, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $35.91 - $53.89Hourly,  GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Chief Clinical Services Officer (CCSO), the Clinical Dietitian plans, develops, implements and evaluates the nutrition services thereby managing a patient panel at Ampla Health.  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:  Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates nutrition program activities Is responsible for identifying the nutritional needs of the clinic population, planning a workable nutrition program and providing direct patient services Completes medical nutrition therapy including advanced assessments, plan development and treatment in conjunction with the physician Completes follow up nutrition contacts Conducts nutrition in-services for Ampla Health physicians as needed Conducts individual educations sessions as well as groups Writes/maintains nutrition protocols for nutrition services for patients with specific conditions Obtains prior authorizations when necessary and completes appropriate billing Documents nutrition assessments and intervention according to quality assurance standards Teach group sessions. Other duties as assigned by supervisor  QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS:  Maintains a professional relationship and positives attitude with co-workers, the public, patients and all Ampla Health’s staff, Board of Directors and vendors Maintains the highest professional ethics and is honest in dealing with people; is a model for all employees through his/her actions Strives to learn more and is receptive to learning different ways of doing things Displays enthusiasm toward the work and the mission of Ampla Health Qualifications: PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  Must be a Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration with plans to take the American Dietetic Association exam (must pass within twelve (12) months from date of hire) BS, MS, MA or MPH degree in nutrition/dietetics or related filed Advanced skills and knowledge in nutrition, nutrition education and counseling Demonstrate clear knowledge of Ampla Health’s clinic structure, standards, procedures and protocols   COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:  Must have neat and legible handwriting Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly Ability to communicate well with the public WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Works well with patients in a generally comfortable environment office. Employees must meet the following physical requirements:  May require prolonged sitting Must be in good health and able to lift up to 50 lbs. (small equipment, supplies, etc.) Must be able to hear staff on the telephone and those who are served in person, and speak clearly to communicate information to clients and staff Must have vision which is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, registration forms and other documents May be exposed to contagious/infectious diseases Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, bend, squat and sit, stand, crouch, reach, kneel and twist/turn.
