Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Regional Float - Women's Services Nurse, you will help healthcare consumers by providing comprehensive nursing care across multiple Omaha Metro campuses, so they can achieve optimal health outcomes.

 

Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care following the nursing process. You will be expected to demonstrate personal and professional responsibility for ongoing development and maintaining a safe, collaborative work environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess at least two years of recent experience managing high-risk pregnant patients, infants, and postpartum, coupled with the ability to travel to multiple facilities on short notice.

 

  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
  • Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic,  dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Administer medications accurately and safely
  • Execute accurate and thorough documentation for all patients treated
  • Keep up with Physician orders 

Your experience will be rewarded with 25% premium differentials, in addition to standard night and weekend pay.  We are also offering a Sign-On Bonus and Educational Assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an RN nursing program.
  • Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
  • BLS: Basic Life Support required upon hire
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required upon hire
  • Other credentials may be needed based on the level of care RN floats to.
  • Ability to travel to multiple metro facilities as needed on short notice.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in managing high risk pregnant patients antepartum, throughout labor and delivery, and postpartum. This includes assessing and caring for infants immediately post delivery and throughout the postpartum stay. Experience in the management of patients with diabetes, preeclampsia, and/or pre-term labor is a requirement.
