JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The UBMS Tutor - English assists high school students in gaining a better understanding of English area course content and helps develop learning skills to enhance the students’ academic experience.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Assist students with understanding assignments and concepts in a specialized subject area.

Assist students with academic applications of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Assist students with navigating MCC systems and software.

Assist with other general UBMS Tutoring tasks as assigned.

Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Assist students with understanding assignments and concepts in a specialized subject area.

Assist students with academic applications of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Assist students with navigating MCC systems and software.

Assist with other general UBMS Tutoring tasks as assigned.

Attend work activities or programs as scheduled or assigned.

Associate’s degree in progress or completed and overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better and received a “B” or better in English.

Must pass a background check.
