RESPONSIBILITIES

The Van Driver is responsible for driving a non-CDL vehicle to transport passengers over specified local/distant routes according to program schedules.

• Follow regularly assigned routes and schedules; immediately reports any changes to the Director
• Exercise extreme care and judgment in driving habits
• Maintain record keeping of: Passenger census and attendance, log of pick up and drop off times, and incidents occurring on vehicle
• Notify Transportation Office of scheduled passenger's absences and vehicle's condition
• Assist passengers in entry/exit from agency vehicles or in transferring from one vehicle to another

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• NYS Driver's License with 12 months driving experience 
• Clean Driving record
