As a Civil Litigation & Insurance Subrogation Attorney, you will work in a primarily remote environment, with as-needed travel for mandatory meetings, depositions and appearances. This role is ideal for a strategic, forward-thinking litigator who thrives on maximizing recovery and driving results. You will play a critical role in our subrogation practice—an essential component of every workers’ compensation strategy. You’ll identify third-party liability, pursue recovery actions, and help insurers and self-insured employers recoup funds tied to claims. Your work will directly impact clients’ financial outcomes by reducing claim costs and strengthening program performance.


Compensation


  • $150,000 - $200,000, DOE
  • Quarterly Bonus Opportunities


Key Focus Areas


  • Workers’ Compensation Subrogation: Identify and pursue third-party recovery opportunities in complex claims.
  • Property Damage Subrogation: Recover losses arising from third-party negligence or fault.
  • Civil Litigation: Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, negotiations, and hearings.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with insurers, employers, and TPAs to integrate subrogation into broader claims strategies.


What We’re Looking For


  • 5+ years of Civil Litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on subrogation.
  • Active license and in good-standing with the California State Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate Degree.
  • Must have recent experience defending against PAGA claims and Class Actions.
  • Experience with public entity defense a plus.
  • Superior research, analytical, negotiating ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Commitment to proactive case management.
