SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director/Manager of Radiology/Respiratory and Medical Director of Radiology perform MRI procedures provided by the Radiology Department. Â The MRI technologist demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Â Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard procedures and policies and conforms to them. Â This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation, quality control requirements, specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Health Facilities; Title 17, California Radiation Control Regulations; and, preventive maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of MRI experience preferred
- Required License/ Certifications: Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARMRIT) Certification, BLS card provided by AHA; Â ABM/MAB/CPI certificate within (90 days upon hire) annually thereafter
- Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language
- Physical Requirements: Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Â Review physical activities and working conditions for this position
