Job DetailsJob Location: Program Services - Orlando, FL 32804Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Bachelors Degree - 4 YearsSalary Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00Job Category: OtherMake Independence Possible Lighthouse Central Florida is seeking a compassionate, motivated Certified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (CVRT) to empower individuals who are blind or have low vision to live independently and confidently. Through personalized instruction, coaching, and advocacy, you'll help clients build the skills they need to thrive at home, at work, and in their communities. What You'll Do Deliver engaging one-on-one and group instruction in community, center-based, and virtual settings. Teach independent living skills, communication, assistive technology, braille, low vision strategies, adjustment to vision loss, pre-cane orientation and mobility, and related skills. Assess client progress, develop individualized lesson plans, and recommend adaptive equipment or additional services. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance programs and improve client outcomes. Protect client confidentiality and support Lighthouse's mission through additional duties as needed QualificationsWhat You Bring Required Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (CVRT) Bachelor's degree in Vision Rehabilitation, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a related field (Master's preferred) Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Experience using assistive technology and adaptive teaching strategies Reliable transportation and ability to pass a Level II background screening Preferred Two or more years of vision rehabilitation experience Additional certifications such as COMS, TSVI, CATIS, CLVT Experience working with individuals who are blind or have low vision Physical Requirements Travel throughout the service area to meet with clients Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday Why Lighthouse?                                     At Lighthouse Central Florida, you'll do more than teach skills.
