We’re looking for a Junior Legal Secretary to join our Orlando team. This is a great opportunity for someone with administrative or professional office experience who is interested in building a career in legal support. Prior law firm experience is a plus, but not required. You’ll support one attorney while also helping provide coverage across the office, giving you the opportunity to learn from different attorneys and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of legal secretarial support. As your skills and experience grow, you’ll take on greater responsibility with the goal of transitioning into a permanent Legal Secretary role supporting two to three attorneys.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative and legal support to your assigned attorney and assist other attorneys as needed.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain client files, calendars, deadlines, and case-related information.
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, inspections, and meetings.
  • Assist with court filings and e-filing.
  • Enter, review, and release attorney time.
  • Assist with billing, expense reports, invoices, and travel arrangements.
  • Help prepare materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and other contacts.
  • Learn firm systems and procedures while taking on greater responsibility as your skills develop.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative, professional office, or legal support experience.
  • Prior law firm experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, litigation, or legal documents is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented approach.
  • An interest in learning, growing, and building a career in legal support.

Why You’ll Love It Here

At RumbergerKirk, you’ll join a collegial, professional environment where your contributions are valued and your work makes a visible impact. We offer stability, collaboration, and the opportunity to learn from experienced attorneys and legal professionals. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with different attorneys and legal teams while building the skills and confidence to take on greater responsibility and advance your career.

You’ll also have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health insurance with firm-paid HSA contributions on select plans
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • Firm-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage
  • Optional Aflac supplemental plans
  • 401(k) and profit-sharing plan
  • Free gym access available from Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Covered parking or transportation subsidization
  • Access to a company-sponsored financial wellness program
